Formed in 17 April 1998 by Sharie Dekorte (\de court\), Havana Estudio is the 1st Salsa & Street Latin school in Malaysia. We believe in promoting dance as a healthy lifestlye, a great way to exercise, and have fun. If you can't decide, you're welcome to sit & watch any or all of our classes! We have all the street-dance classes in Salsa, Belly Dance, Tap, Capoeira, Hip Hop, Flamenco, and wellness classes in Yoga. At our two locations in TTDI (Damansara area). Sharie also has extensive experience with events, promotions, consultation, performances, and shows. |

Havana Estudio's Salsa Divison is open: Tue-Thu 7pm-10pm, Sat-Sun 2pm-5pm, you can come watch Beginner 1 Salsa classes on Wed 9-10pm, Thu 8-9pm, Sat 4-5pm, or Sun 4-5pm. | Beginner 1 (Level 1): no experience or partners necessary, we change partners a lot in class. Click here for the status/availability of our next intake(s): 7/Sep Sun 3-4pm or 10/Sep Wed 8-9pm, or 11/Oct Sat 3-4pm or 14/Oct Tue 8-9pm. These start dates are confirmed. Enrollment is 1st paid 1st served. We recommend you come personally to our studio, check us out, and if you like what you see, pay for classes in full (cash) to confirm your place. RM200 for 8 consecutive weeks, 1 class per week, 1 hour per class. Beginner 2 to Intermediate 2 (Level 2 to 6): requires experience, placement by Instructor(s) during class times: Tue-Thu 8-10pm, Sat 3-5pm, Sun 3-7pm. RM200 for 8 consecutive weeks (all levels). Workshops in Rueda de Casino, Classic Merengue, Classic Bachata, Street Chacha, Spins, Styling, etc. are seasonal. Privates are arranged exclusively through Sam. |

Hot News (June, 2008): Havana Estudio sets high energy at the 2008 Malaysian Salsa Festival, opening all three nights performances, with 28 students. KL Caliente opened the Latin Gala Night with 22 people on stage, and our Amateur Performance Team "Manigua" opened the first night of performances in Desaru with 8 performers. Havana Estudio continues to support Salsa festival and congresses with over 50 participants. We hope everyone who went for these two major events this year had a great time, we sure did! |

Our monthly Salsa Social's back into the swing of things in our very own studio, large spacious dance floor, super cool air-conditioning, great people, good dancing, and pizza, coke, and water! RM10 minimum required contribution includes all of the above, plus: An absolute Basic Salsa Class from 9:00-9:30pm A Street Chacha Class from 9:30-10:00pm (assumes some Salsa) Doors open at 8:45pm. In an on-going effort to promote Tango and social dancing, Havana Estudio in cooperation with Qba is proud to present: Milonga 8:00pm free Tango introduction class Milonga is a term for a place or an event where Argentine Tango is danced. Tango in its purist form is the fire, passion, and soul of Argentina. There will be free finger food & 50% discount on selected beverages from 8:00-10:00pm. So, we hope to see you there! The 3rd Annual Salsa Festival, this year with incredible instructors, and dancers from all over Malaysia, Singapore, London, Australia, and from New York. Others will be confirmed later. More info at the MSF website . Baila Cuba Charity Fundraiser Sunday 22 June, 2008. Grand Ballroom, Westin Hotel Kuala Lumpur. A full Cabaret Show by Singers, Musicians, and Dancers of Baila Cuba. Event starts at 8:00pm with luxe, cigar, expensive drink with full range of production. The singers and band, and dancers will be in full costume and give you an all-out performance. A Lounge Show by Singers, Musicians, and Dancers of Baila Cuba. Doors open with Salsa music at 8:00pm, event starts at 9:30pm with the singers and band, then dancers will perform 6 numbers, and then they will lead a Conga and break into Social Dancing with the audience.
